Shoko Aki (安芸 祥子 Aki Shōko) is the manager of Sho Fuwa who works at Akatoki Agency and she originally wanted to debut as an actor, but she judged herself not talented enough to make it big. Still wanting to be involved in Showbiz, she became a manager.

Appearance[]

Shoko is considered to be a very attractive young woman with wavy shoulder-length brown hair that is usually tied up in a half ponytail at the back with bangs hanging on the right side, grey eyes and she is described to have a sexy figure by Sho Fuwa and Kyoko Mogami [1][2].

She usually wears business clothing that consists of a coat, a top, high-waisted coat and a necklace.

Personality[]

Shoko is shown to be a sympathetic [3], self-aware and a bit of a rule-breaker woman [4] who is in possession of good judgment, something that she is proud of [5].

Background[]

Shoko mentioned she went to a university where many famous people have come from[6]. Shoko said that up until university, she wanted to be an actress herself but she gave up on her dream, judging herself not talented enough to succeed in acting[7]. However, she still wanted a job that had to do with the showbiz industry so she became a manager.

Plot[]

Shoko appears in the following story arcs:

Relationships[]

Sho Fuwa[]

Shoko and Sho are fairly close, not only as manager and artist, but also as flirtatious kind of people. However, Shoko comes to feel that she doesn't know Sho as well as Kyoko Mogami does. She knows of Sho's possessiveness and often tries to avoid the landmines involving Kyoko. She believes Sho to have romantic feelings for Kyoko and persuades him to move forward with it. That way she can feel less like an inappropriate manager, as her morals will not allow her to date a guy after he commits to a relationship with someone else.

Haruki Asami[]

Peers in show business, Shoko and Haruki are on good terms. Both of them tend to discuss Sho Fuwa's unusual bad moods, which they correctly deduce to be connected to Kyoko Mogami.

Kyoko Mogami[]

Prior to their meeting, Shoko is sympathetic toward Kyoko for being treated as a servant by Sho Fuwa. When Kyoko overheard their conversation, she called on the security to take her out for she was afraid of her attacking Sho.

After their paths continued to cross, Shoko was genuinely surprised and impressed by the frequent transformations of Kyoko in her roles. Despite the fact that they are from different, almost opposing aspects, of Sho's world, they are on good terms.

Etymology[]

  • The name Shoko means "auspicious, happiness, blessedness, good omen, good fortune" (祥) (sho) and "child" (子) (ko).
  • Shoko's surname Aki means "peace, quiet" (安) (a) and "technique, art, craft, performance, acting, trick, stunt" (芸) (ki).

Live Action[]

  • Yangyang means "mandarin duck" (鴦鴦).
