Juliena Duris (Hizuri), or simply just Juli, is a famous American model/actress, the wife of Kuu Hizuri and the mother of Kuon Hizuri. Juliena seems to go by her maiden name for her career as she was referred to as Juliena Duris.

Appearance

Julie is considered as one of the most beautiful woman in the world.

When disguised as Sarah Smith, she has half of her hair tied in up a ponytail with bangs hanging over her forehead while she has shoulder-length hair strands hanging on either side and she wears black-framed oval-shaped glasses. She is noted by both Kanae and Kyoko to be very tall.

When she dresses as a model she looks very similar to Kuon, with long wavy blonde hair, green eyes that change colour to brown in a certain light, with an ethereal appearance. She is often called the 'Living Jewel'.

Personality

Juliena loves her family and considers family meals as important. However, despite being bad at cooking, she would force Kuon Hizuri to eat all the food she cooked for him, which is the reason Kuon became teary-eyed at the mere mention of food .

She is prone to having fits about her life ending. It's all an act and a habit. She also wanted to come with him to Japan when Kuu Hizuri does the movie promotion, but was denied. She settled for a promise from Kuu that he will bring home a video message for her .

Juliena was also eager to meet Kyoko Mogami when Kuu told her about “his other son” in Japan. Her similar love of princesses indicates that they would get along well together.

Background

Julie was away for work when Kuon Hizuri left home for Japan. After that happened, she was so annoyed with Kuu Hizuri that she didn’t start a conversation with him for six whole months . She eventually understood that Kuu’s reason for stopping her was because it was their way of supporting their son in achieving his goals as an actor.

Juliena mainly works as a model in America but she has been known to take acting jobs as well. She is of American-Russian descent.

Juliena's maiden name is Duris so she could be potentially connected to Eltra Duris and Cedric D. Bennett by family.

Plot

Kuu's arc

As Julie watches Kuon's video message for them, Kuu pats her head and says that "You're crying again, honey.." Julie says that it can't be helped because no matter how many times she watches it, her heart is moved by it. Kuu then smiles at her and gives her chocolate.

Julie then rested on Kuu's arms while Kuu continues comforting her by stroking her hair. Kuu then said that "her feelings synchronized with Kuon, huh?" Julie asks what's he's on about. Kuu said he's talking about the other Kuon.

Kuu smiles and said that in Japan, he actually made another son. Kuu tells Julie about Kyoko and Julie replies that she seems to be an amazing child and she wants to meet her. Kuu replied she will, because he told Kyoko that she could go to America anytime to hang out with them, much to Julie's delight. Julie then continued to watch Kuon's video message.

Route Project arc

Juliena comes to Japan to see Ren which she doesn't tell Kuu about as she promised she would wait until Ren was ready. She meets up with Hirotaka Date to go to her much loved DayJowey Land and ends up being escorted around by Kyoko and Kanae. She gets busted as Kanae is requested by the LME acting department to send some selfies and candids in for exposure, Kyoko is asked by Ren to send a selfie. Due to this both Ren and the President are alerted to Juliena's presence in Japan when they see her in the photos. Lory immediately calls her up and demands to know why she is in Japan? She makes an excuse that the Master's doll needed a new design as they are always a little different from each year. Lory probes her, asking is that really true? Does Kuu know? Juliena pouts and admits the doll was secondary she just wanted to see Ren, not just a recorded message, she's his mother! Lory demands to know what she would do when she saw Ren, she couldn't greet him. She admits she just wanted see him from the shadows maybe. Lory wonders how she would even do that she doen't even know where he is.

Juliena tells him of course she does then tells Lory where Ren will be tomorrow and with whom. Lory splutters wondering how she knew this as he didn't really know this himself as he thought this meeting was going to be later. How did she know this? She tells him Hirotaka told her. Lory facepalms as he realises his spy network of older and influential members of the entertainment industry like Hirotaka, Kuresaki, and Morizumi, has been turned against him. She admits that Date had guessed from her and Kuu's body language when they all watched 'Dark Moon' that Ren Tsuruga was their absent son.

Lorry then says quite seriously to Juliena that when she meets Ren tomorrow that's with the people from Route Project right? Doesn't that mean there's a chance that Prince will be there? Juliena freezes as she says there's no way...right?

Juliena later meets with Date at the hotel and tells him she has decided against meeting Ren. Date gently inquires wasn't she wanting to because she saw the news about him having a girlfriend and her grumbling about it not being his real S.O.? Juliena is not worried, she thinks when that boy choose someone she will definitely like them. If they don't dump him in the first month, like usual. Date blinks, like usual...is he really Kuu's son? Date then wonders about her fears for him meeting a certain person. Juliena's eyes narrow as Date seems to be probing into family history as well as rumor territory. He reassures he means nothing malicious by it, he is just concerned. Juliena then tells him she's not. Those people are Royalty. They don't go out of their way for anyone, let alone to meet a ordinary person. So she really is just there to check on Kuon's mental state. She does admit that Cedric has a part in this, he's not wrong about that. But it's different this time as Kuon has peace in his heart which he didn't have before. He's a different person now. Date wonders how she knows that, she never even saw him. Juliena declares that that is a secret!

Relationships

Kuu Hizuri

Kuu is Juliena's husband who expresses his affections for Juliena publicly as Kuu also describes her as the "most beautiful woman" in the world, the same way Kuon describes Julie.

Kuon Hizuri

Kuon is Juliena's son whom she cares for a lot and expresses her wishes to see him again, as seen when she pretends to be dying of illness--although Kuon knows she was just exaggerating just to get him to come home. It was stated that Julie used to cook for Kuon as a child but it turned out that her cooking was horrible. Nevertheless, she would force him to eat a lot. This would explain the reason why Kuon eats very little even as an adult.  

Lory Takarada

Juliena calls Lory "Kidnapper-kun" because Lory was the one who "kidnapped" Kuon when he was 15 years old from America and brought him to Japan to be "Ren Tsuruga".

She also refers to him as "Boss," like Kuu does.

Kyoko Mogami

Juliena and Kyoko hear about one another through Kuu, and each have a positive opinion about other. Juliena is looking forward to meet and spend time with Kyoko. Though when they meet at the famous princess park, it is unclear whether Juliena realizes who Kyoko is. Kyoko, however, notices a lot of similarities between "Sarah Smith" and Kuu.

Hirotaka Date

Juliena and Kuu are both good friends with Hiroaki Ogata's father, Hirotaka Date.

Cedric D. Bennett

Juliena seems to know Cedric. She is also concerned about him and Ren meeting. She obviously knows something of the history between them or even has some of her own with the man to be apprehensive about him.
