Bad News is the 103rd chapter of the Skip Beat! manga series.
Lory is playing a dating video game, trying to make up his mind which next action will bring his couple closer together . Ren calls to ask why Lory assigned Kyoko to Kuu. Lory seems to have actually been expecting Kyoko herself with a complaint about how she was being treated. Lory lies to Ren, telling him it's because she's a good cook from Kyoto and can prepare meals as Kuu likes. Ren is suspicious, especially since Lory has never before tried to suggest that Ren visit Kuu.
Kuu is surprised by Kyoko promising hard work and saying that everything is fine to Lory. Kuu asks her why, as she had a legitimate complaint, but Kyoko tells him he's no different than trying to deal with a drunk customer at an inn. Kuu's pleased to have seen the "guts" he's heard about and is determined that he'll make her cry. He bags up all Kyoko's food as if it were trash and tells her to take it home to eat with her low-class friends in Dark Moon, especially that what's-his-name who is starring as Katsuki.
Ferocious chills explode outward from Kyoko, stunning Kuu. She tells him in no uncertain terms that the name is Ren Tsuruga and do please remember it, because he'll be a better actor than him. Kuu asks Kyoko if she has special feelings for Ren. Kyoko declares that of course she does; she respects him.
"Is that all?"
"I worship him! I want to be an actress. For me, Mr. Tsuruga is above the clouds. He's like a god to me and you're..." Kyoko grabs the bag of food and shoves it at him. "...Treating him like a lower class nobody trying to make him eat dirty leftovers. I made this for you. You made them leftovers. SO YOU EAT IT!"
The two of them shout at each other about several things: the food, respect, and deserving people...
Late that night, Kuu and Lory are drinking at his place. Lory wants to know how Kuu lost the objective and got angry for real. He was supposed to make Kyoko take the food to the Dark Moon set. Kuu says he can't believe it either, that he got into a real argument with a teenage girl that turned into a battle of guts. He ate the food and...
"... It was really good!"
Kuu, it turns out, is something of a glutton.
Lory reminds Kuu that he's got to make Kyoko cry. Kuu promises to do better, even though he feels sorry for her. He knows he's got to make her complain about him to "him." Kuu wants to know if "he" will really come if he tortures Kyoko. Lory says its guaranteed; "he'll" be so angry it'll be like the past 5 years never happened.
Kuu has an epiphany: he fought with Kyoko so easily because he was jealous that "he" cares about her so much. Lory finds Kuu's love is overbearing.
The conversation leads to them both to discovering that Kyoko had only pretended to call Lory. Kuu is incensed that he, a world-class actor, was tricked by her acting.
The next morning Kyoko arrives apologetic from the start for her rude behavior the day before. Kuu sees she's genuine and truly a good person, but reminds himself to be nasty. He makes a snide comment about the Japanese race and orders her to work. Kyoko is delighted, because she was prepared to be fired. Kuu can't help but be touched by her professionalism when he sees how eager she is to work, how she has passion and pride in all the good ways.
On route to the kitchen, Kyoko passes by the television, which is featuring Sho and praising him highly, stating that this is possibly the beginning of an invincible legend.
